Will I receive training before becoming a steward?
Yes, you will be given training. Our minimum requirement is that you have an NVQ level 2 in Spectator Safety.
Will I have to pay for training?
No, you do not have to pay for the steward training. The entire process from induction to certification will cost you nothing.
Is there any further training? Will it cost anything?
At CES we strongly believe in staff development.
Supervisors will need to take the NVQ Level 3 award in Spectator Safety.
Other relevant training, such as courses leading to the SIA Licence, may be funded or part-funded depending upon particular circumstances at a given time.
Will I need to wear a uniform? How much does it cost?
CES will provide all the necessary uniform and personal protective equipment free of charge.
How much can I expect to be paid?
Pay varies according to the assignment, however, our rates are amongst the best in the industry.
Can I be paid in cash?
No. Payment will be made directly to your bank account only, after deductions for tax and national insurance have been made. If you are tax exempt you will need to provide us with evidence.
How will I know where and when to report for duty?
Your contact details (mobile phone number) are held on our secure database. You will be informed of when and where to attend well in advance of the event.
